With the support of the Frontline Heroes Office, the telecom providers said exclusive promotions would be rolled out to help their hero customers stay connected with their loved ones here and abroad as they take care of the nation amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
The offer includes “increased access” to data and international calling services, the firms said.
“This is a good initiative and I am very happy with it.
The access to international calls and data will help us communicate with our families easily,” said Dr Faisal Hamza Dalvi, internal medicine specialist at Burjeel Hospital in Abu Dhabi.
“It comes as a relief in this situation where I cannot visit my family back home in India, as I have to continue taking care of patients. All I can do is communicate with them through phone calls or video calls.”
Residents working on the frontlines of the UAE’s response to Covid-19 should check with their employers to confirm that they are registered with the Frontline Heroes Office.
Once the mobile plan offers are launched, those who are eligible may contact Etisalat or du for details.
